London Rivers Week: Walk from Tottenham to Enfield Lock
Tuesday 25 June 10.30am
Meet at Tottenham Hale Station (10:30) or join the walk at Tottenham Marshes Car Park (11am)
This week's walk in the park leads you along a linear route from the busyness of Tottenham Hale to quieter waterways and towpaths that follow the Lee Navigation northwards to Enfield Lock. This stretch of river was chosen for this walk by one of our volunteers in celebration of Thames 21 London Rivers Week.
Walkers will see barges of different shapes and sizes, spot wetland wildlife, learn about the history of the area and witness the industrial developments that are continuing today.
- The finish point is Enfield Lock. There is a train station (Enfield Lock a few minutes walk away and bus stops)
- The length of this walk is 11 km (7 miles) and can take around 3 hours
- Part of this walk is along unsurfaced footpaths and is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
- The majority of this walk is next to water
