St Harmonica's Blues Club: Cruisin' Mooses + Susan Black

Friday 21 June 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

202406 cruisin mooses

We welcome the Cruisin’ Mooses back to the club this Friday, this time with their original line up dating back over 30years!

On harp and sax is Nick Payne, who played with Gary Moore; he has also played with some of the best, including Albert Lee, Bill Wymans Rythmn Kings, Georgie Fame and Geraint Watkins. Returning for this reunion of the originals on guitar is Mark French, a formidable guitarist who has played with Johnny Winter, while on drums is Geoff Hemsley, who has held fort with Geno Washington for decades and worked with King Biscuit and Todd Sharpville. On vocals/guitar is Martin Matthews, who has worked with Bill Hurley and the Enforcers; and on bass and vocals is Jim Harper, who trod the pub boards for years and spent some time in Unit4 Plus2.

The band promise some original blues, soul and funk with a keen eye on getting the audience up and dancing as they have on both previous gigs at the club.

Don’t miss the Mooses as they return with their original line up - they are maturing nicely!

Susan Black returns to the club to provide support. An original singer and guitarist, always entertaining.

SUSAN BLACK will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the CRUISIN MOOSES starting just after 9.00pm.

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
