St Harmonica's Blues Club: The Blues Chapter + Potts Music

Friday 22 March 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

202403 blues chapter

It’s always a delight to host the Blues Chapter at St Harmonica’s. Their energy, musicality and simple fact that they entertain and enjoy what they do are always infectious and guarantee a great evening. So it will be a busy night and good to arrive early if you want a seat to see this band, although they’ll probably have you up and moving anyway. Niol Sweeney, who has been described as the second best drummer in Bristol, makes the trip up the M4 to take his place behind the drum kit and, along with Lindsay Fraser Craig on his bass guitar play the driving rhythms that make the Blues Chapter stand out from the rest. Jacob, Professor Redhair, Thomas is on keyboards with Jesse Thomas on lead guitar. The incomparable Sky Wood fronts the band providing vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica, along with banter and wit. And the Chapter promise some material you won’t have heard them play before too. Don’t miss them.

And don’t miss the support either. Starting at 8.30pm Luke Potter, aka 'Potts Music', performs some of his original and bluesy material from his acclaimed festival set. He too, along with Niol, is making the journey from Bristol to entertain us on Friday.

Potts will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from the Blues Chapterr starting just after 9.00pm. See you there.

2024 Membership Cards are available on the door @ £10 for the year. Admission is free to card carrying members to all Friday Blues evenings and Sunday Jam nights. We just ask for a contribution into the hat to go towards the musicians’ fees.

See you soon,

Dave, Simon, & John

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
