202006 gardeners question time

North London Organic Gardeners and Incredible Edible Barnet invite you to submit your questions for a live online event on MONDAY JUNE 8th from 8 – 9pm

Whether you’re a blossoming grower with questions about keeping your new plant babies alive or a hardy gardener who loves to listen to all things horticultural, we would like to invite you to our North London online Gardeners’ Question Time.

Janet Edwards
Janet has been gardening organically for a very long time and is still an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable gardener. She is one of the original members of North London Organic Gardeners, which is a local group of Garden Organic.

Lis Rolls
Lis has been a gardener all her life, professionally for the last decade. She’s a serial allotment holder, is qualified in organic horticulture and trained in Garden Design at Capel Manor. She is currently enjoying growing for pollinators and cut flowers.

Heather Green
Heather has always had an interest in plants, from painting flowers as a greeting card designer to working as a gardener for the last 16 years. Another Capel Manor trained gardener, she loves to grow both edible and ornamental plants.

Stephanie Green
Stephanie has been growing fruit and veg since she was a nipper. She is now the kitchen gardener at Myddelton House Gardens, where she grows heritage fruit and veg in a restored Victorian kitchen garden using no dig organic methods.

Ted Bell
Ted has been growing fruit and vegetables for many years and has just realised that he rented his first allotment in Edmonton forty years ago. He is a keen grower of a wide variety of food plants and loves experimenting with new plants and vegetables.

Hosted by Wendy Alcock from Incredible Edible Barnet.

To request the link for the event and submit your question if you have one email (with photos if relevant) to have one of our experts answer your question during the event.

Deadline for questions is Saturday 6 June.

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
