Cooking Champions: 'The need for food doesn't stop, neither do we'

Newspaper headlines:

• Three in 10 adults are struggling to feed their household amongst financial difficulties
• 1 in 3 children in the UK growing up in poverty, with the sharpest rise among working parents
• 1 in 5 charities say they could be forced to "disappear" this winter
• Fuel poverty in the UK "hit one in four in social housing last winter"

We are adding more free hot meal services over the winter months:

• 19th December
• 21st December
• 27th December
• 28th December
• 5th January
• 7th January
• 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Food bank

• Open every Tuesday and Thursday
• New referrals 10am - 11am
• 26/12 moved to 27/12

Christmas lunch

For the fourth year in a row we are providing families with Christmas lunch. We are hosting a three-course meal on Christmas Day.

How can you help?

• £5 - pay it forward, this provides the cost of two community meals
• £25 - covers the cost of us hosting an individual on Christmas Day

At Cooking Champions we provide food support every single week.

We are constant in a world that is full of unpredictability and stress.

School holidays are particularly challenging, as the access to hot meals in greatly reduced for many children.

If you need help this winter, you can come to our community kitchen, receive a hot meal in a safe space and if you need additional help you can visit our food bank.

We are facing a lot of uncertainty this winter. If you are able, please support us, even with a small donation.
