202012 cards for good causesFor the 27th year in succession, Palmers Green United Reformed Church will be hosting the Cards for Good Causes Christmas card shop.

Undeterred by Covid, enough volunteers have come forward to open the shop inside the church for six hours a day, six days a week for nearly seven weeks. They are doing this in a truly good cause, because when you buy your cards from Cards for Good Causes you can be certain that a high proportion of the money will be going to the charities, which is not the case when you buy them from high street names.

And this year the charities need every penny they can get, even more so than usual. Many regular fundraising activities have had to be cancelled, but the calls for assistance are greater than ever, as Covid has eaten into many people's finances and played havoc with their mental health.

This year the friendly volunteers won't be able to offer you a cup of tea and slice of cake, as they have done for the past 26 years, but you can still leave the church with a warmer feeling inside.

Covid arrangements

  • Mandatory use of hand sanitizer on entrance
  • Masks for visitors and volunteers at all times inside the church
  • Social distancing
  • Separate entry and exit doors
  • No cash payments - credit or debit cards only
