St Andrew's Church in Southgate has issued an appeal for people to volunteer to help run a winter night shelter.
St Andrew's is one of several churches in the borough involved in the Enfield Churches Winter Night Shelter scheme, being run in association with All People All Places. The scheme started operation earlier this week and St Andrews is providing overnight shelter on Wednesday nights for six weeks starting on 6th January, offering meals and a warm place to sleep to homeless people.
