Question 1.  What do think is good about the area?

Good  - architecture some remnant of independent shops. Park a real asset. Good cafes. Friendly local footfall in shops.

Question 2.  What do you think is less good about the area?

Less good – dirty pavements, too many similar cheap shops

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Improve  - power cleaning of streets. Smart litter bins. More cohesive features to increase feeling of town centre

Question 4a. Specific aspects – traffic

Traffic - congestion, constant traffic queues. Better parking needed

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

Type of shops – Baskervilles is very good, og of initiative and appreciative of areas historic suburbs

Question 4f. Specific aspects – amount and use of pavement space

Pavement –planting on wide pavements eg nr Oxfam

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Triangle – more local events advertised. Tree lovely. Seasonal displays

Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery

Greenery – sponsored by schools fro eg Morrison's etc

Any other comments

Other – encourage large stores eg Morrison's to have presence in high street by sponsorship etc. entice shoppers from supermarkets to rest of N13. 

Flag up Aldermans hill as a special interest area to give an identity to parade.

Tokens to be collected for shopping locally.

Revamp Sunday market

Use empty shops eg Old Grouts building as drop in café for young and old. Get many local churches to get involved.
