Question 1. What do think is good about the area?

It’s multi-cultural and there are very good transport links to London and surrounding areas. It’s lively and there are lots of restaurants and pubs and a fair selection of shops. There are lots of parks/greenspace in the surrounding area which is excellent.

Question 2. What do you think is less good about the area?

It’s a bit worrying to read in a lavatory toilet of one of the restaurants ‘No drugs will be tolerated’.

Sometimes the drug dealing is quite brazen.

I moved into Palmers Green in the summer 2011 – Hazelwood Lane. Sometimes there is a lot of dog mess on the pavements which are also very uneven.

The residential roads can look quite ‘scruffy’ with trees roots growing through the pavements which are often uneven and hazardous and roadsigns very hard to read as they are broken.

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

I’m hopeful the new bins will come soon as lots of debris is blown around the roads from the current boxes.

The bin men are excellent and always take everything which is put out for collection by residents.

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Given that parking is so restricted in the high street why not make it loading and disabled only parking and make sure there are enough parking spaces around the town centre.

Question 4c. Specific aspects – clutter

This is one aspect which I think lets the town down with some areas looking fairly down at heal and tatty.

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

We don’t need any more charity shops!!! I realise they serve a function but can add to the general feeling of poverty in an area.
