Christ Church Southgate (Waterfall Road, just off Southgate Green) will be open for free guided tours on each Sunday in August between 2.30 and 6pm.
The Lady Chapel contains windows designed by William Morris and wall paintings attributed to Philip Speakman Webb.The church is a grade II* listed building and is particularly noted for its windows, as recorded on the Historic England website:

The Enfield Choral Society is holding a one-day workshop on the Rachmaninov 'Vespers' on Saturday 10th September 2016, 10am-4pm at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, Windmill Hill, Enfield, Middlesex, EN2 7AJ.
The workshop will be led by our Musical Director Mark Sproson.
We are inviting local singers who are interested to join us.
The workshop will cost £12 to non members, and will include the music score for the day and a 'bring and share' lunch provided by our members.

At a special cream tea held in the shade of trees by the boating pond, Friends of Broomfield Park yesterday said goodbye to two good friends who arrived carrying a special green flag.
The cream tea was served by the Greenery Community Cafe, the two good friends were James Downing and Graham Deal, both employees of Enfield Council, and the green flag was the official emblem of the Green Flag Award,.......
The Royal Voluntary Service is hoping to recruit volunteers for a Home Library Service.
If you would like to help us support older and disabled people who can't get out to the library to receive their much loved reading and audio materials, please contact us.
We need people to help select books as well as drivers to deliver them.
Expenses will be covered and all that is needed are people with about four hours a week or month to spare.

He has announced plans to introduce new measures, such as an extra charge on the most polluting vehicles, and expanding the Ultra Low Emission Zone beyond inner London, in order to improve the local environment and health of residents and visitors.

The Cycle Enfield A105 project has now reached the Statutory Consultation stage, which runs from today (6th July) until 29th July. This gives the public an opportunity to submit formal objections to the entire scheme or individual elements. Enfield Council will be distributing information leaflets to homes and businesses.

The debate about Enfield’s Mini Holland rages on via social media and the local press – will there be gridlocked roads? Vacant businesses? Cyclists mowing down the elderly at bus stops? Meanwhile, some of us from Better Streets for Enfield and Enfield Cycling Campaign decided it would be easiest just to go and look at a Mini Holland that’s already in progress. Waltham Forest is, after all, next door to us, and ahead of Enfield in completing the work.
