Parents, teachers and children took to the streets of Palmers Green this morning to protest against planned cuts in government funding to schools throughout London.
The 200+ marchers set out from Hazelwood School at 11am and proceeded through the centre of Palmers Green, ending in Broomfield Park, where the protesters held a picnic lunch.

The Friends of Broomfield Park and Enfield Council have recently been successful in securing £64,000 of funding from the War Memorials Trust. As part of the proposed project it is intended to restore the Stained Glass windows that were once set in the back three recesses of the Memorial Temple.
We are now asking if anyone out there may have taken photographs of the memorial many years ago showing the design on the original stained glass before the three red fillers were installed. If you.......
Chris Horner of Southgate District Civic Trust is asking for local community groups to help make Southgate Civic Week a great success.
This year the size and number of events has expanded ; there are now 33 events, as so many community groups have engaged with this community event .
Other groups are invited to join in by promoting their group or event in the Southgate, Cockfosters,Winchmore Hill, Oakwood and Palmers Green areas.

Pinkham Way will be removed from Haringey's 'Site Allocations' - the Council admitted at the hearing that it wasn't needed for its employment strategy.
So, potential developers will no longer be able to argue that a development's benefit (i.e. its contribution to the borough's employment needs) outweighs the harm to nature conservation.
This is a very big win indeed for residents.
This week there have been two instances in Palmers Green of cars mounting the pavement and causing damage. Fortunately, it seems that in neither case were there any injuries to people walking along the pavement - but if there had been, they would probably have been killed or seriously injured.
The first incident happened in Fox Lane on Sunday evening. After hitting and wrecking a parked car, the car that was out of control ended up damaging railings adjacent to the railway bridge. .......
