Members of Enfield for Europe were campaigning at Southgate station this weekend and have sent the following press release.
Pro-European campaigners were out in force in Southgate on Saturday taking part in the national launch of the People’s Vote (#PeoplesVote ; @peoplesvote_uk), a national campaign for another public vote on EU membership, crucially with an option to stay in if any UK-EU deal is worse than our membership terms, which is almost certain to be the case.

In the run up to the council elections on 3rd May two organisations that campaign for a fresh approach to London's streets have come together to set out a challenge for party leaders in each of London's 32 boroughs.
London Living Streets, who seek better streets for pedestrians, are combining forces with the London Cycle Campaign, who, unsurprisingly, would like pleasanter and safer conditions for people riding bikes in London. They are calling their joint campaign My Liveable London and they want boroughs to create more "low traffic neighbourhoods".
A local group set up to defend NHS services in Enfield is asking everyone concerned about thefuture of the Health Service to join their surgery’s Patient Participation Group.
Dr Martin Blanchard of Defend Enfield NHS explains:

The Tottenham Park Charitable Trust is warning people with family members buried in Tottenham Park Cemetery that their loved ones' graves are in danger of being deliberately damaged or removed.

Palmers Green Police made the following announcement on their Twitter feed last week:
The Bogus roofers are around the Palmers Green area again. Victims have been told they have tiles missing. Some work is done then more money is demanded as more and more problems are discovered. Previous victims have been scammed out of up to £30,000.
They can often be very forceful or persuasive in getting their victims to sign up to their services. If you are having work carried out by people that fit.......
The dates and speakers at the 2018 Enfield Literary Festival have been announced. It will be held at the Dugdale Centre from 22nd to 30th June. The lineup below is incomplete, but is already pretty impressive. The theme is "Change".
The Festival is billed as "Enfield's first ever Literary Festival", which fails to acknowledge that there have already been four Lamb Festivals held at All Saints church in Edmonton (which arguably isn't Enfield, but that argument is rather.......

Govia Thameslink Railway has published a report on the third phase of its Monday-to-Friday fugture timetables consultation, along with complete Monday-to-Friday timetables. The first improvements to service frequency will be introduced on Sunday 20th May, but it appears that we will now have to wait until December 2019 before frequencies reach those promised in the consultations:
