Inspired by the wonderful wetlands in Firs Farm, this is our second Firs Farm photography competition. If you've never entered a photographic competition before this is an ideal opportunity to start. The competition will take place as part of the Firs Farm Wetlands 'Get out & Get active' project on 12th May 2019. So come on, get out and capture your Wetlands inspiration!
Learn to be a volunteer: One-to-One Enfield is running a free accredited course at Community House, Edmonton, on 29th April, 1st May and 3rd of May (9.45am to 2.45pm). You need to attend all three sessions. On completion of the course the organisers can support you to find voluntary work.

A photograph taken on 26th February shows pedestrians, including a mothers with a baby buggy, forced to walk in the road because the pavements outside KFC in Palmers Green were completely blocked by illegally parked cars.

A group of PG residents who are keen to make Palmers Green a more beautiful and thriving place have got together to form the Palmers Green Action Team. Their plans include a spring clean of the town centre on 11th May.
Traffic count data recently published on the Cycle Enfield website gives a clear picture of the sheer amount of traffic using residential streets in the Fox Lane neighbourhood and of the prevalence of speeding. The data was collected prior to the start of the phased installation of planters partially blocking the ends of many of the roads that intersect with Fox Lane and will be compared with data to be collected later this month and then after the installation of all elements of the Fox Lane Quieter Neighbourhood scheme.
