More than 60 children from schools across north London and Hertfordshire came together last week to showcase their amazing ability at a new event called Ivy’s Got Talent.
Two theatrical groups that are part of Edmonton-based Face Front Inclusive Theatre will be treading the boards at the Dugdale Centre this month. Broken Silence Theatre Group will be performing The Myth of Marvo's Millions (11th and 12th July), while InterAction Theatre Group's production, Between the Wi and the Fi, will be staged on 25th and 26th July.
The Urgent Care Centre at Chase Farm Hospital is currently open 8am – 10pm every day but local decision-makers and providers are looking at the possibility of changing this. It is proposed that the Centre closes one hour earlier, at 9pm every day. This would mean that you could arrive up to 9pm to be seen before having to use an alternative service elsewhere.

A planning application has been submitted for the demolition of St Monica's Hall (the Intimate Theatre) and its replacement by a new-build parish centre for St Monica's church and a block of six apartments. The campaign to save the theatre is appealing to supporters to submit objections to the application.

In response to the results of a 'Community View' process held last week, in which the majority of participants expressed opposition to the proposal to construct several tall buildings near Southgate Circus - one of them 17 storeys high - Enfield Council has indicated that it will be taking steps to widen engagement in the process for dealing with the planning application, including convening a special Planning Panel meeting.
