Despite rain earlier in the day, the Proms in the Park season got off to a hot and sunny start on Sunday afternoon.  A pleasant atmosphere prevailed as music lovers sat on the grass near the Broomfield Park bandstand to listen to music by North London Brass, with an intermission provided by young drummers from BishBashBosh and BoxBeaters.

There are three more Proms in the Parks concerts featuring a variety of musical styles - see below.  As well as the music and great atmosphere, there will be a licensed bar and delicious home-made ice cream and real lemonade on sale.
