Bife enrolado (rolled steaks) - served 4 to 6 people
Ingredients
- 2 Tenderized beef steaks (thin)
- 1 onion cut in slices,
- 1 garlic clove
- 4 Bacon slices
- 3 ripe tomatoes
- 2 boiled eggs
- 1 can of beer, or sherry
Method
- Marinate the steak with salt and pepper and garlic a few hours in advance
- Place the bacon slices over the steaks and then the boiled egg on top,
- Roll the steak and tie it with string.
- Fry the onion rings and the garlic in some oil.
- Add the steak roll and flash fry them
- Add the tomatoes crushed and a beer.
- Stew the steaks in the pot for aprox 15 min.
- Add some peas and baby carrots to the stew
- Serve with white rice, chips or mash
