Following the pubilc meeting on 30th April, which was attended by Enfield councillors and officials, the We Want Local Schools campaign for an increase in primary school places in the south west of the borough is beginning a new phase.  Enfield's Director of Schools and Children's Services, Andrew Fraser, has indicated that he is prepared to work with a group of parents' representatives to seek solutions to the problems and concerns raised.

swenfield primaryschoolplacesA presentation on Enfield's Primary Expansion Programme (PEP) (which can be downloaded here) indicated that the council are aware of the need for additional primary places in SW Enfield - see the diagram on this page, taken from the presentation.  The briefing indicated how Enfield plan to meet this demand.

The campaign, led by Gonul Daniels of Fox Lane & District Residents Association, is seeking to recruit a small group of people who would represent a cross-section of interested parents in future meetings with the Council.  Anyone interested should get in touch with Mrs Daniels through the campaign's website.
