[Green Lanes Business Association Survey]

Question 1.  What do think is good about the area?

Good – all the banks / boots / post office

Question 2.  What do you think is less good about the area?

Less good -  increasing crime, a lot of youths smoking weed near Londis

Too many coffee shops . cafes – need high end restaurants

No more betting / gambling shops

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Improve – put more police to help with reducing crime

Question 4a. Specific aspects – traffic

Traffic – not too bad

Traffic / hedge lane -  better safety at the hedge lane traffic light junction – too dangerous

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Supports ½ hr free parking, would encourage us of the centre.

Does not support Sunday parking charges

Question 4c. Specific aspects – clutter

Clutter – where necessary only put safety railings

Question 4d. Specific aspects – look of the shops/architecture

Look of shops –need cleaning fixing up

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

Type of shops - more big name stores (eg like Waitrose)

Question 4f. Specific aspects – amount and use of pavement space

Pavements – this is OK – on the fox pub side of the road pavements can be wider

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Triangle/ clock – yes it’s a good landmark given the stretch of green lanes

Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery

Planters – yes put some. Look pretty

Any other comments

Other – free parking (limited). More presence of police / community police
