Improve - take a look at (say) Cockfosters parade. Emulate the appearance.
Question 4a. Specific aspects – trafficTraffic – traffic speed should NOT be reduced. Further congestion is NOT required.
Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking
Parking – council should try to attract shoppers – not deter them by lack of parking facilities. Why not use existing sites such as P Green town hall? Look for more.
Question 4c. Specific aspects – clutter
Clutter – try to reduce where safe to do so
Question 4d. Specific aspects – look of the shops/architectureLook of shops – this has been sadly let down. In other places, shops etc must comply with existing architecture, certainly not change it by ugly hoardings or shop fronts. We should be emphasising the Edwardian / Victoria n architecture. Not covering it up or removing it.
Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public spaceTriangle – this is nothing but a bus interchange, perhaps further planting tubs could be introduced, but may suffer damage by vandalism.
