Question 1.  What do think is good about the area?

Good – Aldermans shops and park (although these are mostly restaurants and estate agents). Library.

Question 2.  What do you think is less good about the area?

Less good – too many gangs of men (young and older) hanging around the betting shops – café’s etc.

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Improve 0- better variety of shops- see more police on the street, worst thing that happened – Woolworth closing.

Question 4a. Specific aspects – traffic

Traffic – area outside McDonalds (lodge drive ) is always dangerous to drivers and pedestrians

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Parking – high street parking – none ! always packed. ????? for dropping off goods for charity!

Clutter – yes to all of this (arrow points to the list)

Question 4d. Specific aspects – look of the shops/architecture

Look of shops – (some) cheap looking shops – tatty fronts that don’t encourage admission – (??? Shops also have men hanging outside them)

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

Type of shops -too many betting shops / hairdressers / charity shops. Not enough variety to encourage people to visit palmers green

Question 4f. Specific aspects – amount and use of pavement space

Pavement - ????? Around bus stops? Move to areas where pavements wider.

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Triangle -too ????? – too many posts – a waste of space – the loss of the tree should be replaced

Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery

Greenery – flower planters, waste of space – especially when empty (ones round the triangle) more would be nicer.

Any other comments

Other – make use of those public toilets in the triangle as some sort of business or local amenity – (sub library, computer ???  -sound info centre – café)

Why visit palmers green other than go to the park, library or ???. there is not much else to encourage visitors to the high street unless you want a haircut or to get intimidated by men standing outside smoking!
