In support of a national charity's campaign to record and maintain the country's war memorials, a local church is providing access to information about fallen World War I servicemen.
Christ Church Southgate Green will be making its WWI Lives Remembered exhibition materials available to the participants in the Civic Voice war memorials workshop, which will be held at the similarly named church in Cockfosters on Friday 13th May.

Enfield Council has found partners for two "community libraries" in the east of the borough. The builders are currently in at Ponders End Library, making room for the charity Age UK Enfield, which will be moving its headquarters to the library. Work is also under way at Enfield Highway Library, which will be sharing with a "public health services department".

To celebrate Dementia Awareness Week 2016 Healthwatch Enfield’s very own Lucy Whitman has organised special events where she will present her book People with Dementia Speak Out.
In the book, twenty-three people from diverse backgrounds share their experiences of living with dementia. On 19th May Enfield Council will be exhibiting the final design plans for the A105 cycle lanes scheme, revised to take account of public feedback from the last consultation round. The exhibition will be held at Palmers Green Library from 3pm to 8pm.

Southgate District Civic Trust (SDCT) is encouraging people to play a part in conserving and protecting our local war memorials as part of a project to commemorate the First World War.
A free workshop in May aims to inspire people to survey and conserve our local war memorials. SDCT want to ensure that by the end of the centenary of the First World War in 2018, as many of our war memorials as possible are in a good condition.
