Construction of north London's first children's hospice has begun. Parents of young patients cared for by Noah's Ark Children's hospice laid the first bricks for the new "Ark" building in Barnet on 19th March.
Noah's Ark hospice cares for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions living in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington, Haringey and Hertsmere, where there are more than 1,200 children who could benefit from their services. However, it does not have its own.......

A team of Nordic Walkers from Palmers Green recently took part in the inaugural Vitality Big Half, raising funds for Silverfit, a London-wide charity which enables people over 45 to regain or maintain their lifelong fitness.

An Open Letter to Enfield Council

At last week's Deaf Forum meeting at Community House, attended by several of your fellow councillors, the local deaf community was caught unawares by the decision to cease funding - in just three weeks' time - of the Deaf Project's.......

David Flint attended the Chase Farm Hospital update at the Dugdale Centre on Tuesday and has kindly shared with us his summary of what was said. We also have the PowerPoint slides used at the presentation.
The new hospital is within budget, it will open in August - as promised four years ago - and they've raised more money than expected from the sale of spare land. What about services and quality?
The hospital will provide planned ("elective") treatments in eight operating theatres.......
