Councillors in seven north London boroughs have this week received letters urging them to radically re-think the plan for processing the area's waste and to put on hold and review the planned construction of a huge new incinerator in Edmonton.
The renowned street artist ATM will soon be creating a mural at Palmers Green Station, inspired by the New River and its wildlife. Palmers Green Action Team are offering free art workshops on Saturday 28th March, 9.15am and 2.15pm, to meet the artist and explore the ideas for its design.

Following the publication by Enfield Council of a report on its engagement with the public over its proposals for a low-traffic neighbourhood (LTN) in the Fox Lane area, a residents' group which has been campaigning to remove through traffic from the area has commented on its findings, which showed considerable variation in attitudes between the different streets, reflecting the volumes and speeds of traffic using each street.
Thames21 has 2,000 trees to plant as part of the Salmons Brook Natural Flood Management project. These will help ‘slow the flow’ in flood conditions and improve biodiversity in the Green Belt. Volunteers are wanted to attend Slopers Pond Farm, EN4 0HL on Saturday 14th March between 10am and 4pm. Everyone is welcome
A campaign to 'Save Our Dugdale' has been launched after community groups which use rooms on the first floor of the Dugdale Centre were told that they will no longer be available from this September. In response, Enfield Council has explained that it plans to use the accommodation to improve services for children and families.

The Local Government Boundaries Commission has issued its final recommendations for redrawing ward boundaries within the London Borough of Enfield. A radical redrawing of ward boundaries in our part of the borough will create a new Palmers Green ward shifted westwards compared with the present-day ward of that name, with Green Lanes and the Triangle as its centre of gravity and incorporating the whole of the Lakes Estate.
A resident of The Mall, which runs between Southgate High Street and Fox Lane, has launched an online petition asking Enfield Council to implement a low-traffic neighbourhood in the wider Fox Lane area as soon as possible.
