Southgate Green councillor Daniel Anderson today became the third Labour member on Enfield Council to leave the party. He joins fellow former Labour councillors Derek Levy (Southgate) and Dinah Barry (Winchmore Hill) in the new Community First group on the council. The chair of London Councils and mayor of London have written to the prime minister expressing their 'great surprise' at press reports that the government held a critical planning exercise in which a major resurgence of Covid-19 in London was a central scenario.
