The Enfield Community Art Exhibition is a not-for-profit-event with the mission to support the creative community. The annual event, now in its third year, showcases artwork selected from an open call by local hobbyists and professional artists and hosts a series of workshops that are free, inclusive and accessible. Visitors also have opportunities to enjoy live painting and artist meets.
Selina Javaid from studioCELL says:
"Our hope is to bring people to see art, and to help artists be seen.
"The theme Home, can be interpreted in any way the artist feels fits, they can consider Home as a concept for safety or joy, they can see someone or a personal belonging to represent Home to them or consider community or their local area as a place they call Home. Memories of Home far away or long gone can also be explored.
"All medium except AI generated work will be considered. There is limited space for 3D work, but it will also be considered."
The Enfield Community Art Exhibition will launch in Devonshire Square as part of the Square's re-opening event in June, before moving indoors at Arbeit Studios for four weeks
This year's Enfield Community Art Exhibition will be the third to date, and to make it bigger and better studioCELL have partnered with Arbeit Gallery and Studio.
There will be £500 worth of prizes and an opportunity for one artist to win Arbeit's High Street Happenings residency, which includes studio space for 12 weeks, a production budget and a solo exhibition.
There will be paid opportunities for artists to deliver a workshop to the public, helping promote their work and practice. Selected artists will also have an artist spotlight on social media and visibility on the Exhibition's recently launched website.
There's no charge to apply to be part of the exhibition and the fee for selected artists will be onlyl £15.
