Incognito Theatre's production of Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire runs all week at the company's bijou theatre in Friern Barnet.
David Parsons and Julianne Mullen as Howie and Becca Corbett in Incognito Theatre's production of Rabbit Hole
Becca and Howie Corbett are a happy suburban couple with everything they could possibly want, a beautiful home, good jobs, great friends, their dog Taz and their young son, Danny. Suddenly, a life-shattering event turns their world upside down and they start to drift perilously apart. Rabbit Hole"charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day . . .
If the introduction on their website to the production that Incognito Theatre are staging all this week makes it sound a little bleak, in his interview (see below) director Nick Vause says that, as well as being a play with big emotional climaxes, he hopes the audience will "find themselves laughing - unexpectedly sometimes - just at those moments when they might be expecting to feel sad or upset". And the playwright's talents are by no means restricted to very serious themes - watch the interview to find out what I mean!
