For a Channel 5 News feature on the rise in the popularity of knitting, where better to go to capture the "music for the soul in the rhythm of the needles"? But if the pandemic is what's driving the renewed popularity of knitting and sewing, then Stitch! was well ahead of the curve, welcoming a flood of new crafters in the summer of 2019, when the dreaded word "coronavirus" had never passed a prime minister's lips..

Knitting and nattering takes place every Tuesday from 10.30am to noon, lubricated by tea or coffee and biscuits.. You can just turn up or you can reserve a place by emailing . If you can't make mornings but would welcome a bit of sociable sewing or knitting, you can join the fortnightly Social Stitching Circle (every other Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm - £5 a session).

And if you never learnt how to knit, or you've pretty much forgotten, Stitch! are running a two-part Learn to Knit Workshop on 5th and 12th February.
