This Friday afternoon you're invited to grab your knitting needles and join a communal crafting session in the Broomfield Park clubhouse.
On Friday 15th November, starting at 2pm, Friends of Broomfield Park will be running a fun crafting session to produce items for sale at a fundraising sale in December.
They're inviting you to go along to the clubhouse next to the former bowling green (near the tennis courts) with a pair of 4mm needles and any spare oddments of brown and white DK yarn.
You'll be making mini-Christmas pudding covers for Ferrero Rocher chocolates, which will be on sale at the FoBP Christmas Art and Craft Sale.
The knitted covers will be on sale alongside bug hotels, honey pots, nesting boxes, paper knives, greeting cards, lino prints, artwork and home baking produce, including biscuits and apple and tomato chutney, all donated by local artists and crafts people to raise money for the Friends' work in the orchard, apiary and the community growing space.
The sale will also be in the clubhouse, between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 7th December.
