Thanks to the hard work of gardener Victoria Black and volunteers from the Friends of Broomfield Park, our local park's Long Border is now in great shape. And on Sunday 6th October you'll be able to buy some of the plants that make the borders so beautiful to grow in your own garden.

The group of volunteers in the Broomfield Park Horticulture Group, led by gardener and horticulturist Victoria Black, have been working hard over the past few weeks lifting and dividing some of the wonderful plants along the Long Border and other areas of the herbaceous borders in the Park.

Prices will also be very good value, and all the proceeds go towards buying more new and diverse species for the Park that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Victoria says: “This is a great time of year to be planting new plants in the garden, as it gives them time to settle in and adjust so that they are all ready for flowering next year.”  Tables will be set up along the Long Border, with the Sale starting at 2pm.

Visitors will be able to meet Victoria and the volunteers, ask questions, and also find out how they can join the volunteer group too if they are interested.
