With effect from 22nd February services on the Great Northern Metro will be drastically reduced. Between Moorgate and Palmers Green trains will run at 15 minute intervals in peak hours and half hourly at other times.
These reductions are part of service cutbacks across the country ordered by the government. On some lines cutbacks came into force in mid-January, including reduced services on some Great Northern and Thameslink services. However, currently Metro services are still running four times an hour through Palmers Green and more frequently at peak times.
The new timetables will not be published until 19th February, three days before they are introduced. It is unclear how long the reductions will remain in force.
