Tell us what you’d like us to focus on in 2024

We’re asking local residents what our health and social care priority areas should be in 2024. What we hear from you will help us to shape our upcoming projects...

Have your say on our priority areas

Every year, we ask local residents what Healthwatch Enfield's health and social care priority areas should be for the coming year. What we hear from local residents helps us shape our upcoming projects.

This year, we have chosen five categories based on our research and what we have heard in the community that is affecting Enfield residents:

GP Access - Patients are still finding it difficult to book face-to-face appointments. Is this something that affects you? We hope to continue to inform local people of the best ways to access this service to build on the GP guide and roles and responsibilities factsheet that we have produced.

NHS Dental Care - Finding an NHS dental practice is still an issue in Enfield, based on our last report in 2022 there were only six taking NHS patients. We would like to do further research in this area.

Cancer Screening - Based on evidence from Public Health Enfield there has been a steady decline in local residents attending their screening appointments, we would like to find out why this is.

Housing Health & Wellbeing - We would like to look into how social housing can impact on your health and wellbeing, for example social isolation, mental health, safety and the impact of housing repairs can have on your health, safety etc.

Young People & Mental Health - Post-covid, there has been a decline of mental health services available to young people in the borough. As part of a research project, we would like to be able to map all the mental health support services available to young people to create a directory, which can then be disseminated to places of learning and youth centres.

Let us know what you'd prefer us to focus on?
