Alfred Herring to reopen next month

The  Alfred Herring will be reopening on 7th December. The new operator, Kov Industries, was registered in August this year and appears to be owned by members of the same family who run the sports venue on the first floor of the same building.

Project aims to provide free support to help people get on their bikes

The Family Bike Club's "Go Slow" Cycling & Youth Mechanic Hub aims to create a community-focused hub in Enfield. The initiative promotes sustainable transport, skill-building, and inclusivity. It seeks to empower residents with cycling knowledge while encouraging the circular economy through bike repair and maintenance education.

By involving volunteers and young residents, the project fosters community engagement, climate action, and mental well-being through group rides and environmental interaction.

The Family Bike Club are crowdfunding to deliver this project which will help expand group cycling opportunities, train local mechanics, and establish a lasting impact on Enfield's cycling culture.
