'Not only homemade meals, but also human connection': Help Cooking Champions this winter
As Cooking Champions celebrate two years of their community kitchen, the wonderful Enfield-based charity has launched a winter fundraising appeal aimed at raising £10,000 to support their work feeding the hungry and helping people in the borough prepare their own affordable nutritious meals.
As well as contributing to the fundraiser, you can help by volunteering or by enrolling in one of their cooking skills lessons.

Walking and talking
Sunday 13th October saw the first in a new series of social walk and talk events organised by the campaign Better Streets for Enfield, this time exploring Grovelands and Oakwood parks.The weather was good, the company was excellent, and the new team running the cafe in Oakwood Park was ready and waiting.
Mark Hawkins-Dady, one of the organisers and walk leaders, tells us how the day went.
