Council launches consultation on proposal to close eight libraries

Enfield Council is consulting on proposals that would see eight smaller libraries closing, including Bowes Road, Southgate, and Winchmore Hill, and 'enhanced' services at the remaining libraries, which include Palmers Green.

Residents speak up in favour of the Palmers Green East permit parking scheme

Local residents have expressed their support for the proposed Palmers Green East controlled parking zone (CPZ), which they say will reduce a number of problems affecting their streets. The council's preliminary consultation about the scheme runs until 13th September.

Coming to a park near you: An updated Victorian horror tale

It may be one of the events in this year's Broomfield Summer Festival, but prepare to be chilled when the British Touring Shakespeare Company bring their new take on Jekyll and Hyde to Broomfield Park on Saturday 7th September at 4pm - the only London date on their countrywide tour.
