Getting Bambos over the finishing line again

Enfield Southgate MP and PG resident Bambos Charalambous completed the 2024 London Marathon last month. He needs a few more people to sponsor him in order to reach his target of raising £5000 for four charities.

Societies issue final appeal to public to object to draft Enfield Local Plan

With the deadline approaching, the Enfield Society and Enfield RoadWatch have jointly issued a leaflet informing residents how they can object to elements of the draft Enfield Local Plan that the societies are strongly opposed to: construction on the green belt and tall buildings in town centres.

Another opportunity to help clear floating pennywort from the Lee/Lea

canoes among floating pennywort on the river lee navigation

A couple of months ago PGC published an invitation to join in work to clear floating pennywort from the Lee Navigation. Pippa Rowlinson has been back in touch with a new date, Sunday 26th May. This time the work will be carried out in the vicinity of Springfield Marina in Clapton

Books in Turkish needed for refugee camp in Greece - please get in touch if you have any to donate

"Hi. Does anyone have any books in Turkish language to give away? I run a multilingual library in a refugee camp in Greece. We have children's books in Arabic and Farsi but some children learned to read Turkish while living in Turkey before arriving in Greece."
