Making space for teen girls in Broomfield Park
The Make Space for Girls Broomfield Park project is recruiting local girls, young women and non-binary teens to take part in a series of workshops starting this month aimed at teasing out what it is that deters them from using the park as a social space for 'hanging out'. The findings will be used in the design of new park facilities that they will be happy to make use of.

Enfield Local Plan: Window for submissions open until 20th May
The long and complex process by which the new Enfield Local Plan is being developed has now moved on to the 'Regulation 19' stage, which provides a final opportunity for members of the public to submit written representations. Understanding the plan and the processes for drawing it up and approving it requires specialist expertise, and both the council and the civil sector societies opposed to elements of the plan are offering advice to residents who wish to be involved.

The four main candidates standing for election as Assembly Member for Enfield & Haringey were subjected to questioning from a well attended environment hustings on Monday organised by Tottenham and Wood Green Friends of the Earth. "At this latest panel, slightly smaller due to school holiday absences, we were joined by PGâs new Inspector, adding knowledge and emphasising the Metâs increasing focus on community policing and community led policing.
"We received a brief presentation from a member of the CHIPS street safety team. Historically focused on schoolchildren, particularly those transitioning from junior to secondary, CHIPS is now expanding to include all vulnerable people whatever their age."
