With poverty still a serious problem both nationally and locally, two Enfield-based charities are seeking volunteers to help distribute food to the hungry.

You'll need to have strong social skills in order to greet clients, offer a listening ear and signpost clients to further support among other duties. The role is based at 2 Lumina Way, EN1 1FS.

Drivers

felix project volunteer driver at the wheel of a vanThe Felix Project is looking for volunteer drivers at its Enfield depot, to help prevent food waste. Drivers can help by collecting surplus food from other businesses to help prevent it from going to waste, and instead delivering it to local charities, schools and other people in need in London. You do not need to have any professional driving experience but you must have been driving for at least one year, be over the age of 21 and be available for 3 to 5 hour shifts.
